Joshua Draper

The Form and the Formless — I am A Bridge.

HI THERE! I’m Joshua, and I’m a multi-disciplinary artist and producer based in Austin, TX.

With a unique blend of skills and experiences in both performance and production,
I’ve made my mark in various fields from music, to comedy and improvisation, to event and film production.

I am a graduate of the Second City and Improv Olympic conservatories in Chicago,
and spent nearly 10 years performing stand-up comedy around the county.

I worked for two seasons (seasons 40 and 41) as a freelance joke writer for SNL’s Weekend Update.

During this time, I also was a freelance event and TV producer — working for events ranging from the Super Bowl Halftime Show, The Kennedy Center Honors, field work with National Geographic, the Emmy Awards, destination experiences with Louis Vuitton,
the New Years Eve ‘Ball Drop’ in Times Square.

More recently, I held full-time producer roles with companies like Dell Technologies, OPUS Immersive Inc.,
and Aubrey Marcus’s Chakaruna Media.

Right now, I’m currently leading Improv Workshop’s around the country in a format I call “Grow Through Play” - an immersive improv experience designed to liberate your confidence and creativity, and ground you in the spiritual principles of intuition.

I’m also regularly collaborating as a musician and DJ, where I emphasize live African drumming,
ceremonial reggae and dance sets, and medicinal piano sound baths.
